Additionally, they give a portion for Ushpizin as their heart moves them.

The Zohar HaKadosh brings wonderful things about the Ushpizin of the Sukkot holiday:
Each day of Sukkot, the holy Ushpizin come to our Sukkah. Just as we honor any guest who comes to us with a beautiful portion for the meal, the holy Ushpizin do not partake in a physical meal. Therefore, we give their portion to the poor.
When the holy Ushpizin come to our Sukkah, they look and check whether we have invited poor guests to the Sukkah or, alternatively, if we have given charity to the poor for the holiday meals. If not, G-d forbid, they rise and leave the Sukkah. If we have, they stay, sit, and bless us with all good things.
